Position Summary
The Banquet Supervisor is responsible for overseeing banquet operations during assigned shifts and ensuring the smooth and professional execution of all events. This role serves as the primary point of contact for clients during events, supervises banquet staff, coordinates service flow, and ensures all hotel service and quality standards are met. The Banquet Supervisor works closely with the Banquet Manager, kitchen team, and other departments to deliver seamless and memorable event experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise banquet operations during meetings, conferences, weddings, and special events.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients and guests during events, ensuring professional and personalized service.
- Coordinate event setup, service delivery, and breakdown according to event orders and hotel standards.
- Lead and supervise banquet team members, ensuring efficient workflow and teamwork.
- Conduct pre-shift briefings and assign duties to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor service quality and ensure guest satisfaction throughout the event.
- Address guest requests, concerns, or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and hotel operational standards.
- Collaborate closely with Event Sales, Kitchen, Housekeeping, and other departments to ensure flawless event execution.
- Take responsibility for shift operations and ensure all procedures are followed.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Diploma or vocational training in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in banquet operations, food & beverage service, or event management.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism.
- Strong team leadership skills with a hands-on and proactive approach.
- Fluency in English required; additional languages are an advantage.
